Senior Sales Consultant

PayStream Advisors, Inc. is seeking a Senior Sales Consultant to lead our consulting practice. This executive will be required to sell and deliver PayStream Advisors consulting and research services to Fortune 1000 companies in North America.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As part of our boutique consulting organization, you'll have access to the executive offices of enterprises around the world, delivering data, insight, and advice that help financial, business and IT leaders implement sound automation and process improvement strategies. You'll be immersed in a stimulating and collaborative environment in which positions and opinions are continuously reevaluated and reviewed with your peers.

This position will manage the marketing, sales and delivery of:

  1. Financial Automation and Process Improvement Consulting services based on our research reports, surveys, tools, best practices and benchmarking.
  2. Research offerings that help corporates outline, understand, and quantify their potential to benefit from specific financial automation initiatives.
  3. Technology selection and implementation consulting.
  4. Market research and strategic communications services to banks and technology vendors.

The Sales Consultant will be primarily be responsible for new business development through intensive prospecting as well as furthering development of the PayStream brand in the US.

The Sales Consultant position will also spend 20-40% of their time on client engagements acting as a project team member, project manager or analyst responsible for building and developing client reports, analysis, presentations and other deliverables.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of successful consultative and/or enterprise software solutions sales experience to Fortune 1000 companies.
  • Able to focus 80% of selling time on new business development through self-generated leads and 20% on Marketing Management
  • Comfortable conducting business on the telephone, and effectively close business with minimal face-to-face client interaction.
  • Work effectively with team to develop consulting analysis, insight, deliverables and strong client relationships.
  • Thrives in rapidly changing selling and delivery environments and able to learn and adjust quickly.

Candidate will sell and service clients at the executive level, interacting with AP and AR managers, Shared Services Directors, electronic commerce managers, CFO’s, treasurers, and other financial and accounting operations managers. Position will be required to identify and develop channel partners, develop marketing and sales strategy for multiple product lines.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Sales Consultant will be responsible for building the structure of the sales organization, establishing a pipeline of customer opportunities for PayStream Advisors to pursue, diligently close prospective customer opportunities, and act as project manager over engagements.

Qualified candidates will have a track record for building a sales pipeline for an early stage technology company by identifying and closing named customer accounts.

Candidate must be able to refine and convey the value proposition to prospective customers in their own context. Requires a good understanding of how to successfully sell both consulting and technology research - while remaining true to the value proposition of providing objective, analytical and actionable advice to our clients.

This position will require approximately 40% to 60% travel. Our offices are located in Charlotte, NC.
