Basware Awarded for Enabling Paperless B2B Commerce
Stephanie Dula 18 Nov 2015Basware, one of our valued partners and a provider of purchase-to-pay automation solutions, today announced that it has been recognized with a Green Supply Chain Award for the sixth consecutive year by Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine.
“An estimated 500 billion invoices are sent globally every year, and with supporting documents, the amount of paper used is typically two to ten times that amount,” said Bob Cohen, VP, North America, Basware. “It’s estimated that if these invoices were sent electronically, it would save millions of trees, and billions of pieces of paper, liters of water and kWh of power each year.”
“The Green Supply Chain Awards honor companies and providers, such as Basware, that are helping organizations make sustainability a core part of their business and supply chain strategies,” said Barry Hochfelder, editor, Supply & Demand Chain Executive. All of the award winners will be featured in the December print issue of Supply & Demand Chain Executive, as well as on its website.
